THE STATE OF DESIGN 2008, Victoria’s Design Festival
July 16 – July 24 2008 , the State of Design Festival will cement Victoria as the centre of Australian design, and Melbourne as its capital. With support of the Victorian Government, the STATE OF DESIGN is the only major design festival in Australia, positioning Melbourne and Victoria internationally as a design hotspot.
Entries close 5pm 28 April 2008. Winners announced 16 July 2008 at Melbourne Museum.

Dj Umek has finally decided to stand out with a website. But before that we had to do a Identity for him including the custom typography and illustration style. Four time related themes of the website are connected to morning, day, night,”out of the office”. We’ ve also integrated an artificial intelligent engine so you can ask whatever you like and Umek will answer you back. A strong community of followers is also integrated into the website allowing them to become a true fan.

HUGO Create – Round 2
We all enjoyed the first round of the HUGO Create challenge when we were inspired by Urban Skylines and we sure do like Round 2 that is now up and running: Urban Thrills – Music & Nightlife.
Today creative individuals are mixing their multi-disciplinary skills and talents to go beyond the traditional paths. HUGO Fragrances takes traditional design contests a step further by offering upcoming talent a global platform. The HUGO Create challenge is to give designers, illustrators and photographers the chance to show the world their abilities by the creation of a stunning tribute to the iconic HUGO Man bottle.
