Looks good but but can’t believe they moved away from flash.

I understand why, but yea. Here’s a post from FI About MTV’s redesign from their flash version.

“We would like to see MTV being able to keep up with technology and taking advantage of the new portal technologies out there. The new MTV site, in HTML, has nothing to do with FI; we are passionate about aggressively pushing the boundaries of what is possible on the web. Generally speaking, we find it hard to understand why groundbreaking companies, not just MTV, revert to older technologies in the face of Web 2.0.”

a bit contradicting now that FI has reverted to HTML huh?

Yes. I was very wandered too. But every company needs to move. FI was always focusing on usability and easy of use, that’s why they decided to push this field forward. They are exploring new markets.

It’s a long-long question about HTML vs Flash. By the way, it’s quite possible to make site like MTV Overdrive in HTML :)

I’m looking forward to see what new FI (not Fantasy Interactive) can do using new direction.
