I do like his pencil works, but I was really amazed by the experimental video Pat made by means of his Canon 40d. It is an excellent work showing movement which is merged with the music. Interesting! I think this could be especially useful for theme-based designs. When a business develops brochures, as an example, they not only want to grab the attention of the reader but also connect with a customer on a deeper level. Custom fonts like this can take a design to a whole new level.
The only caution would be readability. Balancing the interesting look with a bold statement that can be read at a distance would be the biggest challenge in my mind.
I especially like the 2nd picture of the group in which the “P” and the “U” are tree limbs. It gets my Christmas design juices flowing! Thanks for sharing!
