Picasso’s Light Drawings
In 1949 Gjon Mili (photographer for LIFE magazine) visited Pablo Picasso in Vallauris, France. During his visit, he showed Picasso some photographs of ice skaters with tiny lights affixed to their skates jumping in the dark. Story has it that Picasso was immediately inspired and got to it, and these photos are the result.
