Beautiful Pinecone-Inspired Lamps Made from Paper Pulp by Jonathon Coles
UK-based Jonathon Coles Lighting & Design has created a lighting fixture named ‘the Strobilus Lamp’ for architectural lighting company Paviom, which resembles a bunch of pine cones.
The Strobilus lamp is designed to be a highly recyclable and efficient light source. The lamp is made of up to 95% recyclable materials such as paper pulp. The design is inspired by the shape of an open pine cone and utilises 100 leaves made from 100% recycled paper pulp mounted on a recyclable body. The lamp with a soft and organic shape creates a warm and pleasing ambience.
The Strobilus pendant light eliminates glare from all angles with its positioned leaves and the pendant appears to glow warmly with a diffused light.
