The purpose of The Genocide Project created by the designer Hila Ben-navat as his Master’s thesis at the Department of Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. His project focuses on Primo Levi, “Through his testimony, I reveal several questions about his struggle: the linguistic problems of Auschwitz, the loss of identity, hierarchy among the prisoners, the release is false, the relationship between the chemical and Levi’s life and suicide in 1987 “
Ben-navat explored it the meaning of ‘genocide’ in modern times, the term and its uniqueness and shows us what were the circumstances that led to the creation of the phenomenon and the possibility of its eventual prevention. In the project, Ben-navat drew 10 of the most significant cases of genocide that took place in the last 100 years.
