The Grand Hyatt New York in the heart of midtown Manhattan has entered the final phase of the $130 million renovation that is currently underway to reshape the legacy of this historic hotel.

The Grand Hyatt New York hotel with 1,311 guest rooms including 51 suites will unveil a new restaurant, a refreshed lobby and mezzanine level, imaginative new social event spaces, a revived ballroom, and a gourmet grab-and-go food concept called ‘Market’ following the extensive renovation scheme.

US-based design firm Looney & Associates is responsible for the guestroom transformation. The firm has used warm indirect lighting that illuminates tailored furnishings highlighting the contemporary aesthetic in the spaces. The rooms are adorned with a range of lush textiles including tweed, leather, cashmere, and brushed silk in shades of taupe, champagne, and plum, all of which are complemented by Australian walnut.
