Daily Inspirations no. 156
There are photographers, such as Sayaka Maruyama, who urge for something more than just taking pictures of real life objects or phenomena. These artists constantly experiment, mixing different styles, applying multiple visual effects and digital image rendering tools to transform a seemingly ordinary photograph into a masterpiece of some absolutely different form of art, which represents the mixture of photography, illustration, painting, and conceptual philosophy. The works of such non-traditional photographers may generate a full range of emotions from delight to complete negation, but the role of such art is significant: to widen the horizon of the art itself, to dilute the limits, created by some prejudices or dogmas, and to restart the creative thinking and art perception in the audience.
