Jonathan Muddell – featured on One Off the Wall is a graphic designer with artistic tendencies and a love for the handmade. I developed my illustrative style at university working on a book that’s aim was to show the world as autistic people see it. This lead me to use this style to create a portrait of Bob Dylan for a good friend of mine who is a huge fan as a birthday present. I loved the way the words that made these artists so great and the typeface used can allow their personality to shine through.

Since then I have experimented with various artists and movie stars and have worked on a commission for an author using her handwritten notes, drafts and the final manuscript. Each piece becomes unique and personal to the subject and it’s exciting to start each new piece to see where it will take me.
