Rodney Smith was graduat from the Virginia University in 1970, followed in 1973, he took a master’s degree in theology from Yale University. At Yale, he studied with Walker Evans and started to study photography, and later,he make New York as his base campb, he began his commercial photography and teaching photography and received an associate professor position at Yale University.
