Smoking Deterrent Concept

Cigarette packaging is attractive, sophisticated, and some might even say sexy. The red and white Marlboro cigarette box is an example of simple sophistication with its chevron design and is recognizable from a distance. Studies have shown that cigarette smokers have high brand loyalty and less than 10% of smokers change brands annually. Two design students from the UK have created conceptual cigarette packaging that might force the changing of cigarette brands among smokers with more frequency or convince them to quit entirely.
