


Nigeria born, Alabama raised artist and painter Toyin Odutola quarrels with the question what makes her african roots so special. Is it the culture, the history, the people? For her it is the most obvious detail, the colour of the skin. In her paintings, mostly made of black ballpoint ink, she combines the specificity of the black skin with colourful lightsparkles.
