Tunnel House is a minimal house located in Suginami, Japan, designed by Makiko Tsukada Architects. The two-storey, steel frame residence is constructed on a 49 sqm site. It looks as though part of the structure was cut off like a knife to a cake. The exposed garage area looks as though a car is coming out of a tunnel. The facade of the building is built using flexible board (fiber-reinforced cement board).
