I really like Daniel Barkley’s painting style. The characters in his work have expressive faces, and this is a result of how he uses different colors for their skin in combination with rugged brushstrokes. The theme of his artwork is surprisingly related to biblical and mythological stories. “Barkley wants to avoid connections to a particular faith that admits only one vision, although spirituality, mysticism and the supernatural are important element in his work.” [1]
