Three years after the release of their award winning “Mary Musth” album, Toronto rap duo MAGNOLIUS close their sophomore chapter with the release of their new animated video for “King for Hire”.
Nearly two years in the making, director/animator Justin T. Lee creates an intriguing monochromatic world that seamlessly fuses a stop-motion animated protagonist with classically animated hand-drawn characters. The video follows a young woman as she descends from the doldrums of her life as a night security guard into a mysterious land of teddy bears…yes teddy bears. MAGNOLIUS themselves appear throughout the video in unexpected forms, suggesting the land of the teddy bears may not be as pleasant as it seems.
To coincide with the launch of the video, MAGNOLIUS will also be embarking on their second US tour in August promoting their upcoming
album ‘The Chosen Ones’. Visit MAGNOLIUS.com for dates.
