The Drawing Hope Project is an ambitious and inspiring project, featuring drawings done by children born or living with health conditions, and magically transformed into photographs by Toronto artist Shawn Van Daele. The first 4 of over 20 pieces have been completed, and the magic is already starting to happen.
Each child is becoming a specific “character” that will be part of an inspiring children’s storybook showcasing all the finished art (and the children’s original drawings). So far, Shawn has created “The Queen of Hearts”, “The Magician”, “The Butterfly Fairy” and “The Explorer”. Check out the project online to see all the other drawings that have been submitted and heart-warming, inspiring stories that are coming up soon – there’s 16 more photo shoots already lined up…so lots of magic on the way.
