
They’re considered extinct in Israel, but sand cats are making a comeback at Ramat Gan Safari near Tel Aviv, where four adorable sand kittens were recently born. The near-threatened species is the only feline that lives in the true desert and can grow to weight up to 3.4 kilograms in weight and 57 centimetres in length, plus as much as 31 centimetres of tail.
