Tablehat is a minimalist tea cafe located in Kanagawa, Japan, designed by Japan-based designers Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects. The space is comprised of five segregated dining areas with gardens and courtyards in between. The gardens serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose by walling off the dining areas and creating the atmosphere.
The wooden roof is scattered in a series of boxes that inadvertently separate the dining rooms and courtyard. I love how this interior is simultaneously structured and organic. The layout and architecture is very organized and arranged, but the greenery and furniture are natural.
