Bondi Icebergs Pool Converted into Giant Esky

Thirsty visitors to Sydney’s Bondi Beach today aren’t hallucinating: That is an ice-filled, 36-by-15-metre cooler stocked with ‘cans’ of Jim Beam beverages. The brand, with Sydney agency The Works, constructed the giant “Esky” at the Bondi Icebergs pool – normally a landmark swimming pool that overlooks the beach. (“Esky”, a Coleman brand name for coolers, has been adopted into the popular venacular). Cast members of Channel Ten’s drama Bondi Rescue appeared at the installation this morning. The Works is using the giant Esky to film a TVC due out in April.
