More than 140 Cats Removed from Lake Worth Woman’s Home
Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control officers removed at least 140 cats — most of them sick and some deceased — from a Lake Worth woman’s home Wednesday morning, in what investigators are identifying as one of the largest cases of animal hoarding the county has recently seen. Wearing protective garb and respirators, rescue crews placed those cats still alive in crates and loaded them onto vans before transporting them to the animal shelter. Photos by Bruce R. Vicky Kwan’s entry into a Threadless t-shirt design competition in association with WWF.
Nature itself copes by working together to make the most of what they have in a way which doesn’t harm the environment. The concept itself has the potential to be further developed into a range of t-shirts using different animal scenarios. This particular t-shirt showcases a group of penguins huddling together to conserve heat and energy; a simple and clear message which encourages us to follow in their example of getting together and doing good deeds for the environment.

The layout of the design shows the penguins covering the whole of the t-shirt; this gives the idea of the wearer being snug in the middle of the group or could suggest being hugged by a giant load of penguins when you are hugged by someone wearing this t-shirt. The design is carried through to the back of the shirt, creating curiosity of what’s on the front when seen from the back.
Penguins are blue? Who knew?
