Iowa-based Fire Farm, Inc. has introduced ‘Constellation 2913’, a new pendant light series designed by Adam Jackson Pollock and the Fire Farm Staff with Jim Walch.
The Constellation fixtures are available in four different sizes with multiple finishing options. They are composed of metal points made from perforated sheet metal with internal light diffusing panels, providing moiré shimmering effects as one moves around them. The fixture also features a dichroic diffuser option that creates transitioning colours in an opalescent effect.
Can you imagine walking into a room, looking up and seeing a thousand heavenly bells sparkling above you? Brazilian visual artist Laura Belém has created this very experience for us in The Temple of a Thousand Bells, a new installation that’s part of Liverpool’s 2010 Biennial. If you are not familiar with the term sans-serif, let me explain it real fast. Sans-serif fonts, on the contrary to serif fonts do not have the small features at the end of the strokes. Sans-serif fonts have become the de facto standard for body text on-screen, especially online. It’s mainly because the screen resolution limit makes the serifs look blurry or too large. So it’s easier without it. It’s free, enjoy!
