Creator of Doritos to be buried with … Doritos
The creator of the Doritos snack chip, Arch West, died on September 20, 2011 at the age of 97 and he will be cremated and buried in an urn on October 1 in Dallas, Texas. According to his daughter Jana Hacker, “We are tossing Doritos chips in before they put the dirt over the urn. He’ll love it.” via Hungeree.

Surf City Surf Dog competition
Surf dogs ruled the waves over the weekend in the third annual Surf City Surf Dog competition held in Huntington Beach, California on Sunday. Twenty nine dogs participated in the event which began at 10am in the morning. Each dog was given up to 40 minutes to show their ability to stay on a surfboard and ride it to shore. via Hungeree.

Mother lion rescues cub from perilous plunge
A mother lion risked life and limb to save her cub at the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. The baby lion had fallen over a cliff and was perched on a ledge when the lioness made the daring rescue. via Hungeree.
