A/W 2012 by Femke Agema in thisispaperstories.com

Created for the inevitable snowpocalypse, Femke Agema’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, Nigliktok, takes its name from the Inuit word for ‘cold’. Nigliktok is Femke’s vision of a world frozen over, a world where ice and snow dominate, but her signature colourful and playful aesthetic can still illuminate the landscape.

Wild Cockatoos by Leila Jeffreys in thisispaper.com

As I’ve grown, I’ve watched the human population explode worldwide so I wanted to remind us all about the ‘little people’ that also share the planet. Like us they search for food and shelter, they form relationships, they raise offsprings, they defend their territory, they play and they sing…”

Elements that appear in the pictures complement one another on many levels. It is the search for a new form of expression within fashion that begins underneath the aforementioned surface.”
