The combination of Jack Molloy’s illustration and Elvis Swift’s lettering proved positively intoxicating at a recent awards show.

“This was a difficult project for me,” says artist Alan Witschonke, “because I challenged myself to develop a new style specifically for this book, based on the art of the Mughal Empire.”

Hannah’s work appears in five locations throughout San Francisco, as well as on limited edition bottles.

“When I finished my head drawing of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed,” says Janet Hamlin, “it was taken to him per the Geneva Convention rules, for approval, and he asked for me to ‘fix the nose.’ I would not be allowed to move until I did.”

Karen Greenberg: “They did two spreads on me (although it’s in Chinese) and I am among great company here. Stefan Sagmeister is in it, as well as Carin Goldberg, Mirko Ilic, Jeff Moores, and Tom Nick Cocotos. It’s quite exciting!”

For the past year, Israeli artist Einat Peled was tapped to create drawings for a book celebrating the 10th anniversary of Manta Ray, one of the hottest waterfront restaurants in Tel Aviv.

Chuck Gonzales illustrated a series of wordless books by Think It Ink It Publishing. The books are offered online and at the Whitney Museum, both as a writing kit to encourage children to write creatively and as a custom hardcover book.
