The Vespa 400
The Vespa 400 was a rear-engined micro car, produced by ACMA (Ateliers de construction de motocycles et d’automobiles) in Fourchambault, France, from 1957 to 1961 to the designs of the Italian Piaggio company. Two different versions were sold, “Lusso” and “Turismo”. The car is basically a two seater with room behind the seats to accommodate two small children on an optional cushion or luggage. The front seats are simple tubular metal frames with cloth upholstery on elastic “springs” and between the seats is the handbrake, starter and choke. The gear change is centrally floor mounted. The 12 volt battery is located at the front of the car on a shelf that can be slid out and the spare wheel is in a well under the passenger seat.
New Rules of Work by Division of Labor
This series of limited edition posters are sort of like new rules of the workplace for today’s companies. Except, they made them old-school and letterpressed them on card stock that either makes them looks like old Bomb-Pops or as if they fell out of a pack of Life Savers. It seems the thoughts are pretty universal and extend way beyond the world of advertising and production. If you want to purchase a set, visit their newly created store.

What do you do when something is so out of reach? When in doubt, make your own! She was obsessed -like everyone else and their moms – with the most perfect and rather iconic fashion print of 2011 and wanted to do her own spin on it by incorporating it into something that was a bit more her. What better way to marry her love of fashion and skateboarding, than to throw the two components into this perfect plank of wood? Visit Stop It Right Now to get yours.

Iglu-Dorf Zugspitze in Bavaria, Germany
It all started with Adrian Günter, who was an extreme snowboarder. As you may know, the greatest thing for snowboarders is to take the first ride in the freshly-fallen powder snow. Unfortunately, everybody wants to go up to the mountain with the first gondola, so it’s hard to be the first one. He decided to stay overnight on top of the mountain, so he would definitely be the first. As there’s no house to sleep in, he built his own igloo, stayed in the igloo, took the ride down in the morning and was the happiest person alive. Everybody asked, “Why do you look so happy?”, and he pointed up to the mountain and said, “You see that line over there? That was me.”
More and more people wanted to stay in his igloo, so that is how it all started. The next season, he made two igloos and then three. Then he had one destination with a couple of sleeping possibilities, then two. Now they have seven. It all started very little and grew year by year. And now they are already in the 12th year.
Fuseproject – Local Bike by Yves Behar
LOCAL is the bike version of the practical pick-up truck: transportation you can live with – it’s utility and function isn’t limited to carrying a laptop or a sixpack. The sturdy, flexible front platform carries the groceries, surfboards, lumber and kids creating an ideal vehicle for a self-powered life. Inspired by the pick-up truck, a uniquely American vehicle that roamed the countryside in the same way that the LOCAL bike roams the streets. This is not a specialized commuter getting you from point A to B, it’s a real workhorse that you can use for nearly anything.
