This weekend was particularly busy… There was a post on Brian Dettmer, an artist who does amazing cut-ups of books (with 2 video interviews), a gallery of paintings still on the easel in the workplace of Ashley Wood, the prolific comic artist. Also a brilliant short animated film by Isaac King and an opening sequence for a documentary on opening sequences by Jurjen Versteeg. To top it off: an inspirational talk by graphic designer James Victore who hates perfection and claims that real people don’t care about letter spacing…
