With the economy looking like it may be fucked for a while, Breakbeat Science Gear is launching a new limited edition, artist driven, street-wear line, with a no-bullshit price tag !

Breakbeat Science: the name comes from the very dawn of Hip Hop, when DJs began searching for and isolating the percussion “Break” in funk and disco records, extending it for audiences to dance to. A “scientist” was a DJ or producer who had these “skills”.

BBS designs have always found an appreciative audience, whether people are aware of the history of the brand or the music.

This first new BBS Gear collection entitled Science In Motion 08 is co-designed and curated by NYC’s DJ DB, and graphic artist Norik. Original and powerful, sometimes dark, while other times irreverent or funny. The guest artists include:
