Daily Inspirations no. 431
Good morning guys! We’ll be starting as always with several exceptional photos. There are two from the animal world that need you attention. It’s the Reflections in Blue by Tarrby and the Green Snake. Let me tell you … the nature is beautiful. The third photo I would like to hightlight is the Iceland’s landscape photo called Transitions – Iceland by Rafael Rojas. From today’s illustrations I’ll pick something peaceful … what about Antaeus by Anton Marrast? There are some amazing pieces in today’s art / digital art section as well … make sure to scroll through. My personal favorite is the detailed portrait drawing of a lady called + MEAN GIRL + by Sandra Jawad. For all the people loving lofts and open spaces, make sure to check Interiors by Maurice Mentjens. Cold but beautiful. Nowadays Worldpress is one of the most favorite publishing platforms and also that’s why I am sure many of you will appreciate today’s freebie – The feature wordpress theme by Moonthemes. Enjoy the rest!
Sustainable Retreat Hits the Slopes
If you can manage to get to it, this mountain retreat offers stunning views and many of the comforts of home…but it does so from its rather precarious-looking perch high up in the Alps. The tubular mountain survival lodge was fabricated off-site and airlifted into its place on the mountain by helicopters.
Mountain Scenery Photography
If it’s starting to be too hot for you nowdays, what about a trip to some colder places …. like mountains. In today’s collection of mountain scenery photography you may get few ideas what places to check out in person. Just went through the whole collection and I have to say these photos are breathtaking. Seriously, all the featured photographers did a great job. When viewing these one by one … I feel like I want to be there right now. At the end I have to say, this selection is one of the best ones published here on Cruzine … you do not want to miss that. Enjoy!
Pinned Skin Collages by David Adey
Using carefully cut fragments of printed skin from the photographs of celebrities in popular magazines, artist David Adey creates elaborate, pinned collages reminiscent of the most complex entomological displays. In some instances he reconstructs the original photos using component pieces cut into myriad geometric shapes and symbols, each placed perfectly on the canvas with a single pin. Other times he creates giant whirling textures as with his piece Swarm, a process that can take up to 200-300 hours. The patience required for all of this simply boggles the mind. Adley currently has a solo show at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Daily Inspirations no. 430
It’s already the 430th edition of our daily inspirations … would you believe that? The time if flying. Anyway, seems majority of today’s photos is nature related. I don’t mind at all. Just check the first four photos featured … aren’t they beautiful? Love the Purple Stitches by Donna R and and Grasstalk by Lena Weisbek. So relaxing. My pick from today’s illustrations got to be the artwork called Meet the Beetles by Eric Fan. Which one is Paul anyway? :) If you’re more into traditional art, make sure to check + Blue Jeans + by Sandra Jawad. Amazing detail … I do like the b/w – color combination. At the very end something for all of you waiting for some freebies. Make sure to download the cool UI Elements set by Designkindle. Enjoy!
