Retrofuturs is the moniker of Stephane Massa-Bidal. Stephane is a French illustrator that aims to combine the past, present and future into each piece. This particular series uses Helvetica majorly masked by objects that have been removed from photographs.

Swiss Alps Residence: A Mix of Natural and Modern
The house combines a beautiful minimalist modern interior with a traditional rustic stone exterior that really creates a really sensational design. It’s also really great to see wood used so nicely in the flooring and rooms.
Ferrous House: A home for the winter


The Ferrous House was designed by Johnsen Schmaling Architects and sits in a row of 1970’s ranches, part of a narrow subdivision west of Milwaukee. The existing dwelling that had fallen into serious disrepair and was entirely gutted and stripped of its roof.

Allandale House: A Creative Getaway
The house has a fairly large amount of space considering it’s vertical composition. It’s divided into three A-frames. The western A-frame (left side) contains a library, wine cellar and garage. The middle A-frame has two floors of bedrooms and bathrooms while the eastern A-frame (right side) has the living, kitchen and dining room areas.

BAK Architects JD House
JD House in Mar Azul, Beunos Aires, Argentina by BAK Architects. Cement houses like this seem rather dry internally and could benefit from some soft, comfortable furniture pieces.
