I’m a creative and dynamic final year Fashion Innovation student, currently studying at the University for the Creative Arts, Epsom. I live just outside London, in the UK. I am really looking forward to being a part of such a groundbreaking international Fashion and Art initiative, as this is part of my own philosophy as a designer and artist. My floral shoes collection for WHAT’S MORE ALIVE THAN YOU® has been inspired by natural forms within the local environment and the use of environmentally friendly materials and fabrics; as well as through my work placements for British-based designers Julien Macdonald and Erdem. I aim to work for a pioneering fashion house with the long-term objective of pushing forward the boundaries of conceptual and contemporary design.
Victoria proves her true passion for nature in her choice of textures, colours, and materials. Her idea takes a cue from the surrounding world and translates into a tiny collection of elegant, 100% environment-friendly shoes.
THIS IS MY ARTWORK – FLORAL SHOES COLLECTION
A small collection of floral shoes 100% natural. Upper made of organic cotton printed with water colors in different textures, one for each United Kingdom Queen.
The peculiarities of this artwork are just the textures, drawn from a photographic base; these dress completely the models with the exception of the sole. The design is so visible from every angle, and wears both the plant and the heel of the shoe, as if you were wearing a flower vase. The installation of the product is made completely by hand to make sure that every part of the design matches as possible.
The form (shape) of the shoe is ergonomic, patent owned Wmaty s.r.l. and ensures a strong comfort for these models with 105 mm heel. The ergonomic shape of the shoe in fact allows you to distribute more evenly the weight of the body both when walking and standing position; the materials used for the insole and the lining were designed and realized to provide stability of the foot without pressure.
Two models in 4 textures. A decolleté with curved heel which design is taken in front with a point upwards and a boot from the same rounded shape made of just two pieces shaped on tip.

From the first creative call, closed on July 2009, WHAT’S MORE ALIVE THAN YOU® presents the first artworks realized thanks to those who have believed in our project and now can see a dream come true and ideas shape up.
Premrudee Leehacharoenkul and Akahito Shigemitsu are two of the 15 pioneers of this innovative concept of fashion.

PREMRUDEE LEEHACHAROENKUL

Thai student with a product design background but with the passion for accessories.
She is currently working on a shoes project for her thesis in Milan, Italy. In her opinion, shoes are pieces of art – they are not only functional, but also inspiring. Her design is focused on creativity, experimentation and innovation. She is fond of mixing different materials. and she mixed and matched different kinds of materials and explored her ideas for shoes and bags.
THIS IS MY ARTWORK – SUSHI COVER
Sushi Cover is made with a particular anatomical shape that keeps the style giving a strong comfort footwear.
The profile of the shoe has no heel, but a slight rise in thermoplastic material, which acts as a shock absorbing soft and provides a comfortable walk, accompanied by the elegance of the form.
Inspired by sushi, for the exterior a really soft and very thin skin of a kangaroo has been chosen, but characterized by high resistance to abrasion, the same one, with other thicknesses, used for motorcycle clothing.
In the inner part a race skin has been added to the lining of goat skin. The special texture of this leather has some very smooth spherical bulges which, in contact with the foot, bring a light massage effect.
The construction of the upper is performed manually for what concerns the tip of the shoe, which has a clear acetate insert that creates the opening and ensures an optimal fit. The sole is made of a whole piece of natural and glossy leather shaped.
The silhouette of the shoe emphasizes the Premrudee’s design and makes this artwork a real sculpture.

Creative call launched by WHAT’S MORE ALIVE THAN YOU®, a new Italian company producer of high quality shoes, bags and contemporary jewellery, involving people from all over the world in the creation of the collections.
The design of the collections will be carried out by continuous creative calls, which sees to involve young students of universities and school of art, design, fashion design and architecture in 92 countries worldwide. These creative calls are addressed to all those who, without any age limit, have great ideas and want to see it realized.
On air from 16th april to 18th june, in the WMATY.COM website, the second creative call named Freedom for the creation of the exclusive fashion-art collection WHAT’S MORE ALIVE THAN YOU® of shoes, bags and contemporary jewellery.
