We’ll be starting today with several beautiful flower photos. Make sure to check Poppies by Mandy Disher and the Purple Carnation by Anahita Narimani Cole. Let’s stick with the nature … instead of flora though, it’s gonna be about animals. Check the staring sheep photo titled Look. It’s definitelly worth it. Let’s move one section down … from the illustrations I would like to highlight Mercedes deBellard. Another one I like is the one at the bottom of the section called Fog by E338. If you’re inclining more towards traditional artworks, do not miss Solvent by Olga Noes. There are quite creative ads featured today as well … make sure to scroll through. ART HK 12 International Art Fair Recap
This past weekend marked the launch of the highly anticipated ART HK 12 Hong Kong International Art Fair 2012. Featuring two convention rooms filled with both modern and contemporary art, the comprehensive exhibition was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Now in its fifth year, ART HK 12 saw works from many notables including the likes of Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst, George Condo, Jeff Koons, KAWS, José Parlá, Picasso, Andy Warhol, Barry McGee, Keith Haring as well as Lee Yong baek, who’s work i saw at the Venice Biennale 2012, he’s the one who made the painting with the fishes. For me this is the most important Art Fair in 2012. Check out all the pictures (28 pictures) on Sparks of Inspiration.
