Yamaha Silent Guitar
As with craftsmen and designers, musicians too feel the passion to practice all the time, honing their skills into the wee hours of the night. However, instruments are loud, and it’s probably not a good idea to wake the neighbors up with your music, even if you’re that good. If you’re a guitarist, you’ll be delighted to know Yamaha has developed a Silent Guitar.
Yamaha’s Silent Guitar allows the musician to practice with headphones or directly to a recording console but still enjoy the realistic sound of an acoustic instrument. The detachable top frame of the guitar enables it to be easily packed in the durable gig bag – lightweight and portable. Everything about Yamaha’s design is inline with the mentality that music should be played whenever and wherever.
The guitar’s body is composed of the following components: a maple body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Its controls include master volume, bass, treble and a rotary effect knob. It also has mini-stereo inputs for plugging in a music player for play-along. Power is supplied by either the AC adaptor or a 9V battery.
How it works is the guitar body converts the vibration of the strings into electric current using a piezoelectric pickup. The body does not amplify the vibration of the strings into audible sound, hence, the term “silent” guitar. You can play a more aggressive style due to its slimmer neck and lower action. It is equipped with reverb, chorus and echo effects which may be quite useful.

Frank Ocean – LOST or Odd Future vs The Darjeeling Limited

So Frank Ocean finally dropped the visuals for the, in our opinion, best track of Channel Orange – LOST. The video is pretty cool, basically Frank Ocean rocking AJ1′s and being filmed with a vintage camera, or at least the video was edited vintagy. But here is the deal: When we searched for the video on VIMEO, we came across a fanmade unofficial video that might be even much better. It features clips from the brilliant movie “The Darjeeling Limited”, which fits just perfect. See for yourself and decide what version you like the most, we chose the Darjeeling version.

Coachella through capable lenses

Coachella for sure is the most hyped festival in the world, no doubt. There are always bad tongues talking about how shitty the festival is, even Luke O Neil of Bullet Media wrote an article entitled “Going to Coachella? You’re a Loser and Part of the Problem and Probably Fat”. If you get to attend all the special parties that are happening while Coachella, then the desert festival is a dream-land. We decided to share with you the best photos by Koury Angelo and Emmanuele D’Angelo to show you what you may or may not have missed.
