Cult Days is a sonic boom sounding out of Brooklyn, NY. A fashion designer by trade, she has gained the attention of tastemakers in both the music and fashion industries. Cult Days’ esoteric image and emergence makes her the perfect blend of both arts. The music isn’t something you would have on repeat for days, it’s music that seems to be made especially for the runway. Listening to it makes you relive Fashion Week memories instantly. She is not that popular in the music business yet, but the fashion industry already has her eye on the rising artist. Her songs were recently featured in Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang’s fashion shows this season.

The vintage synth addicts duet Diapositive delivers a first EP full of synthetic arabesques, hazy rythms and romantic subsonic waves. Nightwalk takes you through timestreching pads on a rolling and dusty beat, then dive into rolling and sweaty toms. Victory theme is all about arpeggios and lowrider driving beats, like a slow motion imaginary flying-skateboard part. Remix from Nasser cheers up the EP with a panoramic view remix, driving from melodic techno to a warm road-movie soundtrack.
Composer and sound artist Diego Stocco released a brief clip today featuring his experiments with a new turntable and a few freshly gathered leaves. Leaves! More specifically all bass, kick and snare sounds heard in the video were made by alternating the leaf type, angle, pressure as it was applied against the turntable.
