Daily Inspirations no. 377
I am sure you won’t wonder why I’ll be starting with animal photo today as well, when you’ll check the tree horses … they seem to enjoy each other’s company :). Another artwork from this section I like is the landscape photography by Alexandre Deschaumes. This guy seriously knows how to shoot stuff like that … not his first photo being featured here. There are some cool illustations available today. Do not miss the Rose by Chaichan Artwichai, which is a nice portrait illustration … and surely do not miss Total control by Alexey Egorov. Fans of 3d artworks shouldn’t miss the retro bot artwork called Mastermind by Andrzej Sykut. And seems I just found my overall daily fav .. it’s the MOTION IN AIR by Mike Campau, how cool is that?! Everyone loving typography should take a look at every single artwork featured, as each of them is amazing. Picking just one artwork from there wouldn’t feel righteous. Of course guys, there is a cool freebie as well … it’s a 3d cursor set by freepsdfiles. Enjoy!
Baby squirrel gets a purple arm cast
A baby squirrel barely 3-weeks old was bruised when the tree branch that supported its nest got cut down. When the couple who cut the branch discovered the squirrel, they called the Wildlife Aid Foundation who swooped in, adopted the baby they named Violet, and are feeding her a special formula. Workers at the foundation also fitted Violet with a cast to protect its bruised arm. via Hungeree

SUMERU by Nick Pedersen
Sumeru is a body of work that metaphorically illustrates the mental journey that is undertaken in Zen Buddhist training and practice. In Zen literature, the word ‘land’ is commonly used as a symbol for the ‘mind’, and through a series of photographic montage images I have envisioned an exploration into the depths of this metaphorical ‘mind-world’. The narrative follows a spiritual quest as the storyline symbolically wanders through various states of consciousness and perceptions.
