Architecture studio Messana O’Rorke have designed the Tank House, a getaway home in the midst of New York City. The project involved the renovation of an existing loft apartment and the development of an existing sprinkler tank house into an urban retreat.
I am fascinated by how things are made, so I was very excited to see X3 at Super Brands London as part of this year’s London Design Festival. London-based branding and graphic design studio Creative Research and Development commissioned three furniture designers to each make a chair. They were given six hours, the same tools and materials and a goldfish bowl of a workshop around which crowds gathered to watch their progress.

Stylish, unique lamps, which have very original features: they are inspired by famous figures of jazz and soul music. Design and music in a single piece: what more can you want?
