This Pop-Art Pool Is A Shining Example Of Designer Richard Woods’ Artistic Vision
The pool is a part of the barn’s Living With Art installation; it’s fully swimmable and is a shining example of Woods’ ability to balance form and function in a truly inspiring way. The “wood” tiles are a caricature of traditional wood planking with their exaggerated grain and pops of primary colors. The geometry of the pool adds to the fun house aspect of it; the colorful tiles under the turquoise water makes the shallow-to-deep undulation more pronounced and visually interesting. Family Leaves Husky For 3 Hours, Dog Redesigns The Apartment
Who said interior design is not for dogs? One Husky decided to prove the doubters wrong as soon as his owners went out to the movies. In only 3 hours, the aspiring artist turned the whole apartment into his canvas. The pooch released his inner artist by inking his paws and turning the floors (and anything else that got in the way!) into a giant piece of art. The artist even left his signature on the bed to prove the authorship. Although his new design had to be cleaned up by his humans, we hope that one day his artistry will be recognized. According to designer Igor Mitin: “The idea is that anyone can make an individual interior decoration with “facepot” and friends’ or relatives’ images. The Image is printed and stuck to the pot. After that the transparent protective pot is put over the main pot. It will save the image during a watering process. Moreover, transparent protective pot accurately fits the image to the pot’s shape and makes it vivid and complete. The idea is to buy more lush plants. The choice is yours, but it is better when the plant hides the top of the pot. In such case, we create a true “haircut” for a person on the image. In the southern part of Italy in the historical town of Matera, are world famous cave-dwellings. Carved thousands of years ago, these caves that were once homes and churches have recently been turned into a contemporary tourist hotel. Designed by Manca Studio, 300 square meters of cave-dwellings were developed and restored to create a common area, a spa, and 4 suites for the La Dimora di Metello Hotel.
