Marion Bolognesi lives and works in New York City where she splits her time betweek accessories design and her personal passion for expressive, illustrative watercolor painting. She received a BFA with a focus in illustration from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston in 2003 and has exhibited her painting and work around the globe.

In the Flesh’ Project: Skin, whether it be of a human body or a goldfish. The images are captured ‘up close’ to exaggerate ambiguity. The images represent flesh in the form of an ambiguous landscape and are painted on square, oil on linen. The themes to this series relate with simplicity, beauty, nature, sensuality and association.
A working artist from the UK, my hopes are for Australia to provide a new cultural influence to my work and a maturity only developed through experience.
