Illustrations by Timothy Banks
Like his ancestor, Davy Crockett, Tim was born on a mountaintop in Asheville, North Carolina. Picking up a crayon at the tender age of three – he never looked back. He’s now a professional artist that draws and paints pictures for books, magazines and pretty much anything cool. Project breakdown: Recently selected by Nike to illustrate a lazy hare and fast tortoise tshirt for their Running Division. Created an entire children’s book for Caribou Coffee. Researched and painted a reader for McGraw-Hill about a beaver growing up and leaving his family. Depicted a young boy and his dog fishing in a short story that was published by MacMillan UK. Conceptually sketched a van and drug-addled sports equipment for Adult Swim (their idea).
