The Sparkling World of Jewelry Designs
The world of jewelry adornments impresses with its richness and variety of forms: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants, brooches, and this list can, definitely, go on and on. Jewelry is one of the most ancient forms of art. Just imagine that the age of the oldest jewelry found is said to be about 100 000 years. Jewelry art has been evolving side-by-side with the human civilization itself; it has been changing, improving techniques, discovering new materials and designs in order to become one of the most valuable form of art both in terms of monetary value and artistic one.
Eco-Chicness – Cardboard Jewelry by Carton
Meet eco-chic designers, Yael Gaizler and Aviv Kinel of Carton by I Design (Hebrew for cardboard). The jewelry line is all hand-made from recycled and processed cardboard used for packaging, combined with silver, gold and stones. The gorgeous earrings and necklaces are so full of texture, they’re not only making a statement visually, they’re also calling for touching them (that is to say, don’t be surprised if you get stared at and eventually asked to touch your earrings… it’s not you – it’s the Carton jewelry!)

Urban Street Art: Jewelery for Giants (12 pics)

They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, so this street installation by Belgian designer Liesbeth Bussche must be a city’s best friend. Creating large scale jewelery, Bussche decks out the streets with bling. Her pieces include pearl earrings made out of concrete balls and a Tiffany & Co. necklace made with chain-linked rope.
