Cute Robot Seals Comforts Elderly Tsunami Survivors in Japan

It’s cuddly, cute and responds to your affection. Following a two-month evacuation from their home, residents are embracing a small white robotic seal. Reuters reports that the furry friends are being treated as pets by the residents, many of whom are dealing with memories of the quake. The residents currently have two Paro seals, which they’ve named “Love” and “Peace.”
Animals are often used for therapy for the elderly, and aside from its anti-bacterial coat the seals give the elderly residents the same companionship that a pet gives.

350,000 Post-it Notes to Express the “Power of Love”
For the launch of shoe collection “Melissa Power of Love,” the Melissa Gallery (Galeria Melissa) organized a spectacular stop-motion video using sticky notes on the front of walls of their building. The images were created by 25 animators during a 5 month time span. In addition, more than 30,000 spectators wrote love messages on the paper notes.

This is a speculative music video I made for The Legendary Buck 65. It is comprised of over 60 fictional movie title cards inspired by the lyrics of the track “Superstars Don’t Love” off Buck’s 2011 release “20 Odd Years.

By gs architects, INNOCAD and LOVE.The Serbian Ministry of Science and Technological Development launches a competition for the design of a Centre for the Promotion of Science in one of the districts of New Belgrade. This open international, anonymous, single stage competition is organised in cooperation with the Association of Serbian Architects, the Association of Belgrade Architects and International Union of Architects.
