This amazing house was build in 2006 by Arquitectura Orgánica. A young couple with two children from Mexico City who after living in a conventional home wanted to change to one integrated to nature. The goal of this project was to make it feel like an internal inhabitant of a snail, like a mollusk moving from one chamber to another, like a symbiotic dweller of a huge fossil maternal cloister.

“Scars” by Carlos Alvarez Montero
“Scars is a series composed of 20 portraits of residents of Mexico City. Each resident decided to engrave ink marks on their neck/faces as a statement of their life experiences. This allows them to step out of the crowd, define themselves as unique and by no means look back. Just forward.”

Wendell McShine is originally from Trinidad and now based in Mexico City. His show “The Offering” is running at Anno Domini in San Jose. This is Wendell’s debut solo exhibition in the United States and runs until November 20th.
