She left pieces of her life behind her everywhere she went. It’s easier to feel the sunlight without them, she said. – Story People

Sometimes, I imagine that my eyes are a camera. The couple carrying shopping bags blurs out of focus, and the discarded shoelaces straggling across the sidewalk become black and white, and the girl’s hair is moving in slow motion to the wandering wind, and I feel the need to save this, this loveliness that only I can see.

It’s in the hat that blows off the hair of the woman in the green jacket. It’s in the leaf that winds its way down through the sky, twirling like the ballerina in my musicbox, and the fact that only I stopped to watch it land on the park bench. It’s in a little child’s hands folded tightly as he prays to God.

It’s in the details.

Air Swimmers – Awesome RC Flying Shark and Clownfish!

Air Swimmers swim through the air with incredibly smooth and life-like motion. These amazing fish provide hours of remote control indoor fun in even the smallest of rooms (not for outdoor use). They require only four AAA batteries (one in the body, three in the controller) and have complete up, down and 360 degree turning control.

Simply fill your Air Swimmers with helium inexpensively at any party store, florist shop, or grocery store that carries balloons. The body is made from a high quality, durable nylon material that will stay inflated for weeks! You can fill it again and again. Remote control has never come to life so magically!

Sifteo Cubes

When Nintendo got gamers off the couch with the Wii’s motion-sensitive controller, video games entered a new level of interaction and movement. Sifteo’s Sifteo Cubes are sort of like the Wii in that they require more interaction than pressing a button or wagging a stick. So, instead of imitating a potato on a couch, players take control of the three Sifteo Cubes and move them, shake them, and flip them around to engage in simple puzzle games and learning exercises. War Posters: War Propaganda Posters from Around the World

war vrkpuznk0z War Posters: War Propaganda Posters from Around the World

During war, countries fighting for survival are often at the height of innovation, applying their knowledge in a variety of different ways. Biologists, physicists, and chemists are all rushing to create new products for use at home and abroad. Many people often overlook the artists and designers who are also set in motion, creating propoganda and war posters to distribute to the masses.

War propaganda posters are designed to incite patriotism, a sense of pride and a conviction to winning the war at home. During wartime, supplies are often rationed and civilians face changes in living conditions, and war propaganda posters are designed to help combat this.

CINEMETRICS by Frederic Brodbeck

cinemetrics 750 CINEMETRICS by Frederic Brodbeck

CINEMETRICS is Frederic Brodbeck’s graduation project at the Royal Academy of Arts in Den Haag:

“Cinemetrics is about measuring and visualizing movie data, in order to reveal the characteristics of films and to create a visual “fingerprint” for them. Information such as the editing structure, color, speech or motion are extracted, analyzed and transformed into graphic representations so that movies can be seen as a whole and easily interpreted or compared side by side.”
