Also called ‘dancing with walls’ the parkour is a rather wild type of training that uses the city as a huge sports field. Those who follow this training regime see each and every urban obstacles as a challenge to be overcome. Moreover there is no out of bounds in this sport – everything from pavements to rooftops is fair game. The idea originates from France (with the famous Yamasaki) but is now more widespread in the USA. Dangerous but fascinating, the Parkour is taught in Brooklyn by veterans of the street-sport.
