The “lungs of our planet” have been attributed to the Amazon rainforest, also known as Amazonia. This Amazon jungle, or the Amazon basin in South America, covers over 1.7 billion acres acres (7,000,000 square kilometers); the actual tropical rainforest is spread over 1.4 billion acres.
Bluntly called Barber (or should that be sharply?), this salon in Amsterdam has gone back in time to the days when a gentleman was far more likely to visit his local barber for a facial trim rather than a short back and sides. Barber has been designed with a lot of white tiles (easy to wipe-clean) and features the rather lovely exposed copper wiring that we last saw in Istanbul.
Bringing the faded glamour of 1930s Shanghai to Sydney’s business district, Mr. Wong is a Chinese restaurant of elegance and authenticity. Seating 240 diners, the restaurant opened its doors last month offering a 60-item menu of traditional Cantonese fare. All the classics are there, from roast duck to (fake) shark-fin soup. More adventurous diners may go for the marinated beef shin and tongue.
