On Tuesday July 30th FEZ will present their first collection of leather bags in Amsterdam. Witzenhausen gallery is the place where FEZ will launch its first one hundred leather bags.
FEZ, a new brand in which art and craftsmanship come together, is named after the place where the leather comes from. FEZ combines the authenticity of Morocco with art from Amsterdam. This unique concept is reinforced by its exclusivity; each bag has a serial number. FEZ has brought two worlds together: traditional leather processing from Morocco and the creative influences of Amsterdam. Every year, a different artist from Amsterdam will make the lining. The inside of the FEZ f1 collection is decorated with drawings from illustrator Nathalie Otter. Especially for FEZ she made a series of ten male figures with animal heads. Continue reading »
If the world floods, whether from an angry God or climate change, Johan Huibers is ready. After 20 years of work, the Dutchman has completed a full-sized replica of Noah’s Ark as described in the Bible, the AP reports. He followed Biblical instructions precisely to create a boat 427 feet long and 75 feet high, which he has filled with a menagerie of stuffed and plastic animals, as well a petting zoo with live animals and an aviary of exotic birds.
Huibers, a Christian, says he started building the boat after a nightmare in 1992 in which floods once again overwhelmed his low-lying homeland. He doesn’t believe that God is planning to flood the world once more, but he hopes his ark will “make people question that so that they go looking for answers” and find them through God, he says. The new fragrance, “Truth or Dare”, was launched at Macy’s Herald Square store, where Madonna was seen in a black top and skirt. Meanwhile, Diet Coke has come up with a new design for their bottles – inspired by Madonna’s iconic “cone bra” ensemble that French designer Jean Paul Gaultier created for her in the 1990s. Gaultier is now the new Creative Director for Diet Coke. To match the red cabin crew uniforms, Virgin Atlantic is launching its first lip colour, the “Upper Class Red,” in collaboration with bareMinerals.
The debut of this lip shade will mark the launch of Virgin Atlantic’s redesigned Upper Class cabin. It will be sold exclusively at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Spa at Heathrow, Gatwick and New York JFK before it is made more widely available later this year at selected bareMinerals stockists. Apart from this, it will also be made available for pre-order on board Virgin Atlantic flights through the airline’s inflight shopping guide, Retail Therapy.
The female cabin crew will reportedly wear the shade onboard the A330 flight from London to New York, which features the inaugural Upper Class Cabin. Apart from this, passengers who have a hot ticket for that flight will also be presented a sample of the lipstick.
