Photographer Tanja Brandt‘s pet owl may not be a fan of rainstorms, but rain or shine he knows how to strike the perfect pose for the camera. During one of the artist’s many outdoor adventures, it began to drizzle and her beloved 1.5-year-old owl Poldi took cover underneath an orange mushroom. At that exact moment, Brandt was ready with her camera and captured this adorably candid moment, made especially precious given Poldi’s petite size.

His home in Sonoma County, California, has its own studio to take professional pictures of the posing pups. Puppeteers operate the The Little Giant Girl, one of the giant Royal De Luxe street puppets taking part in Liverpool’s World War I centenary commemorations as she walks through the streets of Liverpool on July 25, 2014 in Liverpool, England. French street theatre company Royal de Luxe are putting on a show throughout the city as part of Liverpool’s World War I centenary commemorations from July 23-27. The giant puppet grandmother has slept in the hall for two days as part of “Memories of August 1914”. As the giants tour the city the Little Girl Giant and her dog Xolo will meet up with the giant Grandmother telling the story of life leading up to World War One. Cute “Little Monk” in SE China Goes Viral Online
A photo posted on May 25, 2014 shows a little boy dressed as a monk standing in a temple in Fuzhou, capital of southeast China’s Fujian province. A group of photos depicting the cute “little monk” got nearly 10,000 reposts over one night.
