Aaron Kizer, notoriously known for his mind-blowing speed paintings and most notably his sold out show where created a masterpiece of Steve Jobs in just minutes is at it again. The video went viral, picked-up on numerous media outlets, to include Cult of Mac. Stunning JFK Portrait Painted in Under 6 Minutes to Nero & Skrillex Remix – Promises [Video]

JFK Speed Painting x Kizer Arts 750x458 Stunning JFK Portrait Painted in Under 6 Minutes to Nero & Skrillex Remix Promises [Video]

Aaron Kizer, notably known for his Steve Jobs speed painting and street art, is at it again; putting paint on an open canvas to the tune of Nero’s Promises (the Skrillex Remix). Kizer, an Owensboro native, typically keeps his audience in suspense as he creates his masterpiece in just minutes, right before your eyes. During his event 21812, and in front of a sold out audience, Kizer creates the face of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy aka JFK. One thing that makes Kizer stand out is not only his artwork, but his compelling story and the fact that most of the proceeds from his art goes directly to foundations that aid in fight against cancer. Watch and enjoy.

Incredible Photography: LIFE – 2011 Pictures of the Year

Life 01 Incredible Photography: LIFE – 2011 Pictures of the Year

Every year is made up of countless moments that humble us, terrify us, sadden us. Moments that make us laugh, cringe, shake our heads in disbelief or wonder. Photographers strive to capture those moments, to tell us something of the times we live in. This gallery presents the pictures that did just that over the past year: In a photo that neatly captures the chaotic, earnest, rag-tag nature of the insurgent force that battled Col. Muammar Gaddafi’s military for most of 2011, rebels fighters scatter after coming under fire from pro-Gaddafi troops outside the town of Ras Lanuf in mid-March. Gaddafi himself was captured and subsequently killed on October 20; three days later, Libya’s National Transitional Council announced the end of the country’s civil war. [via Life.com]

Amazing Steve Jobs Tribute Painted in Under 6 Minutes [Video]

Steve Jobs Amazing Steve Jobs Tribute Painted in Under 6 Minutes [Video]
Recently, on 11.11.11 to be exact, I had the opportunity to witness one of the most phenomenal art performances I’ve ever seen. Aaron Kizer, of Kizer Arts, who does speed painting and amazing street art, created the above tribute painting of Steve Jobs in less than 6 minutes! Most would assume that Kizer practiced for months for such an event, but just a week before the show he was soliciting suggestions on his Facebook Page for whom he should paint and why… needless to say, Steve Jobs was a popular suggestion. He didn’t reveal until the end, as you see it all come together, that Steve Jobs was indeed the person he chose to honor in art.
