Vividly Messy Digital Paintings from Muju
Today we will feature the work of a digital artist that goes by the username Muju. I ran across his work on Deviantart and clearly had to share it with you. If I had to describe his work in two words, I would probably say ‘vividly messy’. His artwork carries a messy/dirty style that’s very hard to pull off. I’ve seen artists try this and it’s not as easy as it looks. From my perspective Muju’s drawings are mainly fantasy characters influenced heavily by style, taste, and vivid imagination. His art is absolutely incredible and I hope you’ll think so too. To see more of Muju’s work, visit muju.deviantart.com.

Video edit by The Method Case for “Extrusion Bowls” by Apparatu

Video: vimeo.com/63509664
Publication of the process at: themethodcase.com/extrusion-bowls-by-apparatu
The Method Case is really proud to present Extrusion Bowls by apparatu. A video created by the collaboration between Apparatu and The Method Case. The project starts from one of the pieces which resulted from the workshop “Fragil” held by Apparatu in summer 2010. Guim Espelt i Estopà one of the participants, designed the pieces after discovering an apparently impossible texture. The process began with the deformation of a hollow cylinder of extrusioned clay, after which we focussed on the cracks that were generated. By trial and error we hit on the formula in the wheel: for the creation of a bowl, the only way to conserve the cracks is to place the cylinder in the wheel and push from the centre towards the periphery. By expanding the grey mass while spinning, unique and random textures appear on the surface leaving the coloured interior as the only controlled element.

Drive it smaller
In my point of view, this is the way we should be driving around, when it comes to huge cities. Those little cars, must be available on trains and subway stations, so you run long distances on larger vehicles and short distances with smallers ones.

CHANDELIER LIGHTING EFFECT: A SENSATIONAL FOREST
Imagine an enchanted forest, that ressembles Snow White history while she is running from the castle to the interior of the dense glade. That’s the effect of the incredible Forms of Nature chandelier, created by Thyra Hilden and Pio Diaz. When you turn it on, a white bunch of tangled roots and branches casts 360 degree shadows transforming your entire room look into Snow White’s forest.

The shadows may a look a little creepy but, at the same time, they produce a fanciful effect. Would you approve it for your house?
