The public ‘Sensor Valley 8.0’ by Studio Roosegaarde is Europe’s largest interactive sensor artwork. As a red carpet for the new Cultural Center in Assen (NL) the interactive pillars breath light and sound in response to people. The local citizens in Assen already call them ‘knuffelpilaren’ (hugging pillars) as they interact with human motion and touch…

This Super Brain cabin by artist Carla Pires de Carvalho Fernandes is a part of a series of artistic interventions in public telephone booths in the city of São Paulo, similar to the interventions of the Cow Parade that took a few years ago when they put more cows painted and decorated all the way in various parts of the city.
Several hoods are receiving special decorations and paintings exhibited in the open leading art and color to the city. The call Call Parade invited 100 artists to perform works in 100 public telephone booths in preparation for the change of visual identity of the licensee Telefónica for Vivo, when the hoods will have different colors.

We’ll start with a beautiful piece of history in photography called Petra. Could you imagine how long did it take to carve something like that in the past? A real masterpiece. There are two illustrations I am going to highlight today. One of them titled Anastasia is a nice female portrait and the other one is a funny caricature called David Svorc by Blazek Caricature. Art / digital art section is bringing us traditionally several hot pieces such as THINK TANK – Sunshine Everyday by E338, Mother’s Milk by JP Valderrama or Drawings on tea/coffee stained paper by Paul Alexander Thornton. Got to stop today in the typography section as well .. can’t help it, but I just love the artwork called Fiat 500: It’s up to you by Leo Burnett Iberia, Madrid, Spain. It’s actually an ad, but still features some awesome custom typography. Of course I didn’t forget about the freebies …. so guys, make sure to download these – nice set of PSD Ribbons by Freepsdfiles. Enjoy the weekend!
Good morning guys! We’ll be starting as always with several exceptional photos. There are two from the animal world that need you attention. It’s the Reflections in Blue by Tarrby and the Green Snake. Let me tell you … the nature is beautiful. The third photo I would like to hightlight is the Iceland’s landscape photo called Transitions – Iceland by Rafael Rojas. From today’s illustrations I’ll pick something peaceful … what about Antaeus by Anton Marrast? There are some amazing pieces in today’s art / digital art section as well … make sure to scroll through. My personal favorite is the detailed portrait drawing of a lady called + MEAN GIRL + by Sandra Jawad. For all the people loving lofts and open spaces, make sure to check Interiors by Maurice Mentjens. Cold but beautiful. Nowadays Worldpress is one of the most favorite publishing platforms and also that’s why I am sure many of you will appreciate today’s freebie – The feature wordpress theme by Moonthemes. Enjoy the rest!
