Mount Hua, or Hua Shan, or Xiyue located near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi province, about 120 kilometres (75 mi) east of Xi’an. It is one of China’s Five Great Mountains, and has a long history of religious significance. Popular Trail Closed After Two Giant Sequoias Fall
One of two downed trees lies across the popular Trail of 100 Giants at Sequoia National Forest, California, temporarily closing the trail. The Forest Service said the downed trees were reported Friday and no one was injured. Officials are still working to determine the ages of the trees and why they fell.
